The client previously had a slightly overgrown garden, with a fence that was overcome by ivy and falling apart. The primary aim of this project was to transform the garden into a family friendly space.
New fencing was installed in place of this. Sandblasted harvest sawn stone was chosen because the material mirrored the interior kitchen. In addition, the brighter colour stone gave the illusion of a larger area. A small paved area at the back was chosen for this, as it was a sun trap.
A mid-sized synthetic lawn was installed for children to play on and enjoy. Therefore, the courtyard-garden achieved our aim in being child friendly.
