White Lodge Centre
We were given the opportunity to build a fantastic space for the White Lodge Centre down in Aldershot. It was a very important project for us as it was to become a sanctuary garden for their children at White Lodge. We had to take into consideration health and safety for the children but also to create a fantastic space for the staff and for the children to enjoy Especially for events throughout the year. The idea was to create a space that could be used in the winter and summer months and also to keep within the budget for the White Lodge. It really did become a fantastic little space and is continued to be used. Now, we used a combination of raised flowerbeds constructed of Scandinavian pine a combination of low maintenance plants olive trees, ferns, lavenders and Pittosporum for the flower beds. Lighting was also installed to allow the gardens to be used at dusk or in the evening especially in winter months. There was safety ramps built into every entrance for disabled access, and also a large Indian sandstone area with a closed off gate for security for children.
Post install there was a Resi bound surface installed to create a safe haven for the children to enjoy.
We believe there’s going to be a second phase of project works here and we are looking forward to potentially working for the White lodge Centre again!
